Job Description
. Leads team of QS for tenders and projects
. Preparation of construction contracts and negotiate revisions, change and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors
. Site verifications of variation and taking records for submission of claim
. Preparation of contracts
. Preparation of final accounts
. Monitors the cost on all phases of planning and construction with the parties concerned
. Work closely with PM in preparing monthly updated project progress and costing
. Working experience in main contractor firm is an advantage
. To resolve problems encountered by QS / project team, including dealing with client/ sub-contractors on cost and contractual matters
. Any other duties that assigned by a superior.
Job Requirements
. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent
. Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry
. Preferred to have an LTA/rail projects background
. Proven track record of successfully negotiating, drafting and administering a diverse range of construction contracts
. Excellent knowledge of construction law, contract management principles and risk mitigation strategies
. Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve contractual issues
