Job Summary

The role supports the Senior Contracts Manager and works closely with project teams to manage commercial and contractual risks. It involves providing guidance, ensuring compliance, and implementing timely actions to protect project interests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide contractual and commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle, from tender to construction, completion, and final payment, while monitoring costs and schedules.

  • Assist in reviewing contract requirements during tendering to identify risks and secure favorable commercial outcomes.

  • Support procurement and subcontracting teams to ensure contracts are followed and key terms are applied help develop agreements with strategic suppliers to improve pricing and delivery.

  • Work with Project Managers to track milestones, verify claims, and manage variations.

  • Identify potential issues or disputes and coordinate with Legal to develop mitigation strategies.

  • Manage claims, disputes, settlements, and resolutions efficiently.

  • Guide departments (Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Subcontracting) on contract administration and deliverables.

  • Conduct workshops to ensure the project team understands contractual risks and obligations.

  • Continuously review and improve processes, systems, and policies to strengthen contract management.

  • Enforce governance and risk management to proactively address challenges during project execution, contract administration, and cost management.

Key Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree.

  • Minimum 8 years experience in contract management, preferably in shipping, marine, or offshore oil & gas projects.

  • Knowledge of project contractual obligations, including variation orders, notice periods, and subcontractor cost control.

  • Experience managing and mitigating claims.

  • Familiarity with project execution processes and documentation requirements.

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented, independent, and professional with high integrity.

  • Fluent in English Bahasa Indonesia or Mandarin is a plus for working with overseas counterparts.

  • Willingness to travel to project sites overseas.
