You will be responsible for the overall performance of an operational site in order to achieve all agreed financial + operational objectives. The activities needed to deliver these objectives include:
- To manage, plan, organize, staff, + direct warehouse activities at the site.
- To achieve your key performance indicators (KPI) in the areas of cost management, productivity, customer service and profit.
- To ensure your teams deliver against their customer, site and people KPI.
- To drive all activities relating to customer on-boarding, retention + operational excellence by collaborating at a site level.
- To drive productivity via engagement activities to create new initiatives focusing on continuous improvement at all times, ensuring your site meets or exceeds it's productivity targets.
- To contribute information required for tenders/proposals to support closing of new business.
- To oversee the safe operation of warehousing activities across the site, ensuring the correct skills and training are in place and are compliant with health/safety/environment legislation and standards.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and logistics operations.
- Good understanding of workplace safety practices and regulatory requirements within warehouse operations.
- Proven ability to manage and supervise operational teams, including manpower planning, performance monitoring, and productivity improvement.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with internal departments, customers, and external vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, WMS and operational reporting.
