Job Responsibilities:
- Perform manual laboratory testing on water, wastewater, and crude samples
- Handle and process wastewater samples, including sour water samples containing elevated levels of H₂S and ammonia, in accordance with safety procedures.
- Ensure proper usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to laboratory safety protocols.
- Manage day-to-day laboratory operations independently, including inventory control, chemical management, purchasing, and stock monitoring.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, housekeeping standards, and ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained.
- Develop, review, and maintain laboratory SOPs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures.
- Monitor laboratory consumables and coordinate replenishment activities to support uninterrupted operations.
- Ensure all laboratory users adhere to established safety standards and best practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate testing records, documentation, and reports.
- Perform other laboratory-related duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in water, wastewater, or environmental testing is preferred.
- Able to adapt to operational demands and varying sample volumes.
