We are hiring Contract Chemist, Water to be outsourced to our clients from reputable healthcare organizations.

Job Responsibilities
. Perform manual testing on crude oil, sour water, wastewater, cooling water and boiler water samples.
. Conduct COD (Hach), TOC, Turbidity, pH and Conductivity tests.
. Perform FIA for Phenol.
. Perform FTIR testing for oil and grease in wastewater.
. Conduct BOD, SOUR and OUR tests.
. Prepare laboratory equipment and reagents prior to testing.
. Report and compile test data into the PSR database.
. Clean and maintain laboratory equipment after use.
. Handle samples such as Sour Water containing high levels of H₂S and ammonia, which may produce strong odours.
. Manage a small laboratory independently, including chemical and inventory management, purchasing and stock tracking.
. Maintain general laboratory housekeeping and upkeep.

Requirements:

. Degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering.
. Minimum laboratory internship experience.
. Office hours (Mon- Fri) but may need to work from 10am - 7pm once or twice a week.
. Familiarity with the listed testing methods is an advantage but not mandatory training will be provided.
. Comfortable handling laboratory samples and performing testing procedures.
. Able to commit to contract Duration of 12 months (renewable.)
