Job Description

Brief Summary

Join a dynamic team as a Continuous Improvement Engineer, driving operational excellence and efficiency through hands-on improvement initiatives. Collaborate closely with plant management to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives and lead kaizen activities to optimize operations. Train team members in lean tools, standards, and methodologies to ensure proper application. Collaborate with plant management to maintain a continuous improvement mindset and develop supportive policies. Organize annual value stream mapping (VSM) activities and propose workshops for productivity enhancement. Develop and coach production staff in lean principles, promoting hands-on participation and leadership. Conduct regular audits of lean tools and practices, ensuring adherence to standards and identifying non-conformances. Facilitate workshops and lead improvement initiatives effectively, tracking progress and results. Prepare and lead weekly production lean committee meetings, documenting discussions and action points. Ensure accurate reporting and tracking of lean metrics, collaborating with management to establish productivity scorecards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in teaching, coaching, and applying lean principles in a manufacturing setting. Proven ability to facilitate kaizen events and achieve measurable results. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with a passion for driving change. Experience in developing training programs and coaching teams effectively. Familiarity with automation implementations and applications is advantageous. Proficiency with lean tools such as 5S, visual management, standard work, and others.
