Responsibilities
Ideate and create newsy content for 8days in the short form video space. He/She will play a critical role in growing followers, reach and engagement on our social media platforms, with the opportunity to develop new formats and lead a team of producers.
Scope of the role
Conceptualize and create content for 8days, working with the rest of the editorial team and content producers, driving audience engagement as well as commercial integration for the brand.
Responsibilities
- Understand the social media landscape and audience needs.
- Have news sense, intuition for trends, strong grasp of English, ability to craft compelling narratives and familiarity with social media lingo.
- Develop content and audience strategies that optimize performance of the 8days social channels and their commercial potential.
- Identify new trends/developments and which social platforms to reach and engage the right audiences for key campaigns.
- Manage social media campaigns with commercial, content and marketing teams to meet business objectives.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mass Communication or any related discipline
- Minimum 4 years of related experience
- Able to communicate and work effectively independently as well as in cross functional teams
- Creative and editorially driven in conceptualizing content ideas
- Adaptable and familiar with the social media space
- Able to develop and produce content for social media space in a timely, trend-aware manner that is aligned with brand tone
- Familiar with digital content tools and up to date with relevant AI technology
