You will be joining a world-class marketing communications team responsible for our globally-distributed branded content, which generates 1-2 million daily impressions on our social media alone.
You will be responsible for strategizing and crafting content across core products and partnership collaborations, delivering industry-leading communications through our website and social media platforms.
This role will also involve working with a wide variety of prolific global partners such as: HBO (for its Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon series), Warner Bros and DC (Batman, The Joker, Harley Quinn) as well as Blizzard (Overwatch); championship-winning esports teams such as T1, Cloud9, Team Liquid and Paper Rex; and the world's most premier esports tournaments such as the Riot Games global tournaments including the League of Legends World Championships and VALORANT Champions, Dota 2's The International, Valve's official Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Majors.
You play an integral role in elevating the Secretlab brand and cementing our position as a leader in ergonomic chairs and desks for today's modern individual and the various activities they partake in.
Responsibilities
- Build and drive Secretlab's content strategy holistically to develop highly targeted content that goes out to a global audience of 3 million daily.
- Brainstorm and craft compelling narratives with the ability to engineer positive brand sentiments across a wide multitude of platforms. Uphold and lead consistent brand messaging across all communication channels and materials, facilitating the development and execution of customer-centric communication.
- Maintain communication plans of high standards that highlight trending topics, seasonal events, brand campaigns, news, and other happenings.
- Strategically map out and develop best-in-class content strategies that align with broader business goals — guiding junior team members based on own data and industry best practices.
- Engage key stakeholders across the wider Communications and Integrated Marketing teams to continually review workflow and processes to enable harmonious and efficient collaboration.
- Work closely with the Production team to plan, coordinate content and program flows for brand showcase and shopping live streams and video podcasts across social platforms, with a keen focus on vertical formats.
- Supervise and support sales and electronic direct mailer (EDM) campaigns together with the CRM Digital Marketing team. Provide guidance via industry and learned best practices to streamline both inter- and cross-team processes, while making discernible calls to propose new ways of work via in-depth memos where applicable.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of marketing communications efforts, and make data-informed adjustments
- Be in touch with our user segments and key use cases to learn how to motivate various audiences to take action and deepen their engagement with our product.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to provide valuable insights for strategy adjustments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in English, Journalism, Marketing, or Communications.
- At least 5 years experience in marketing communications/a content marketing role, preferably with experience in performance marketing strategies.
- Strong understanding of how tactical copywriting and concepts can be used to tell a story on behalf of a brand and within a product.
- Passion for and knowledge of pop culture and current events and/or gaming and esports.
- Strong marketing fundamentals, with the ability to steer marketing efforts to hit outcome-centric business goals.
- Deep understanding of core and emerging social platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Discord and Twitch.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow, and grammar.
- Detail-oriented and meticulous, able to uphold quality standards of style and grammar to produce high-quality edited content.
- Ability to communicate complicated technology topics in clear, concise ways to a non-technical audience.
