Job Description

Responsibilities

We are looking for a culturally-attuned and commercially-driven Content Acquisition (Indian Content) professional to grow and strengthen our Indian content offering across Vasantham, mewatch, and other digital platforms.

Scope of the role

This role will lead the identification, acquisition, content release and management of compelling Indian content that resonates with Singapore's diverse audiences while supporting Mediacorp's digital growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and acquire high-quality Indian content (e.g., Movies, General Entertainment, Kids) aligned with Mediacorp's content strategy, community and audience needs.
  • Drive the expansion of content offerings for Vasantham and mewatch, with a focus on both mainstream and regional Indian content.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Indian studios, distributors, OTT platforms, and independent producers.
  • Lead negotiations for licensing agreements, ensuring optimal commercial terms, rights, and windowing strategies.
  • Monitor industry trends, audience insights, and competitor activity (both regional and global OTT players) to inform acquisition decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with Programming, Marketing, and Digital teams to maximise content reach, engagement, and monetisation.
  • Manage acquisition budgets, forecasts, and performance tracking of acquired titles.
  • Oversee end-to-end content pipeline, including rights management, delivery, and scheduling coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and Mediacorp's content standards.
  • Build strategic content partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in any field
  • More than 5 years experience preferred in a related role
  • Bilingual in English and Tamil
