Provide marine engineering consultancy to insurance companies, ship owners, charterers, P&I clubs, lawyers, etc.
Conduct investigations for various losses and casualties that are primarily connected to the marine industry.
Risk management, safety assessment for ships, jetties, ports and shipyards etc.
Ship inspections for seaworthiness, general condition surveys, Sale & Purchase surveys, insurance attachment surveys and Protection & Indemnity Club entry and claims surveys.
Act as an expert/factual witness for international marine disputes, arbitration cases, etc.
Market the firm, as per internal requirements.
Requirements:
Class Certificate of Competency (CoC), Class 1 (Marine Engineer Officer)
Sailed as Chief Engineer on board ocean-going merchant vessels for at least three years or as Second Engineer for at least five years.
Sailed on board ocean-going Merchant Ships in Senior Rank, and LPG/Tanker fleet, will be an added asset.
Experience in new buildings, dry dock repairs, projects such as conversions, and preparing repair specification in the capacity of a senior rank.
Able to travel at very short notice and expected travel is about 10 to 12 days per month
