Role Purpose:
- The Benefits Consulting, Analytics & Innovation Lead will play a central leadership role within the People Solutions department, driving business growth, client excellence and innovation across employee benefits consulting, analytics and technology solutions.
- The role is responsible for building and leading the Consulting, Analytics & Innovation team, delivering against annual financial and operational targets, growing the existing book of business and supporting new business acquisition in partnership with the Business Development team.
- The successful candidate will provide strategic employee benefits advice to clients, lead data-driven consulting initiatives, conduct benefits benchmarking and benefits redesign, support the adoption of flexible benefits and digital platforms, and strengthen client relationships through high-quality service and consultative engagement.
- The role will act as a trusted benefits expert, partnering with the wider People Solutions Benefits team to provide technical advice, share best practices, and support complex benefits-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead employee benefits benchmarking and analytics projects, assessing clients benefits against market, industry, and workforce benchmarks.
- Analyze benefits, claims, utilization, and workforce data to identify trends, risks, cost drivers, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop strategic insights and recommendations to help clients enhance benefit competitiveness, employee experience, and cost sustainability.
- Lead benefits redesign initiatives, evaluating alternative benefit structures, funding models, and flexible benefits solutions.
- Assess the financial, operational, and employee impact of benefit changes and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Partner with clients to align benefits strategies with workforce objectives, business priorities, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with analytics, consulting, and external partners to deliver innovative, data-driven benefits solutions.
- Support the implementation, communication, and ongoing evaluation of benefits programs to ensure successful outcomes.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations that translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Drive continuous improvement in benchmarking, analytics, and consulting methodologies.
Success in this role will be demonstrated through the effective delivery and continuous improvement of benefits programs, strong stakeholder relationships, and the provision of accurate, timely, and compliant benefits advice. The successful candidate will contribute to a positive employee experience, support strategic benefits initiatives, and serve as a trusted subject matter expert to People Solutions colleagues and business stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in employee benefits consulting, insurance, or rewards strategy.
- Strong expertise in health, insurance, retirement, wellness, and flexible benefits programs.
- Proven track record in benefits benchmarking, analytics, and benefits design/redesign.
- Ability to translate complex data into strategic, commercially relevant recommendations.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with success in client management, new business and team leadership.
- Strong understanding of insurance markets, placement, and renewal processes.
- Experience with benefits technology and digital solutions is advantageous.
