Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Consultant (Banking) from Big4 to join our dynamic team. This role requires a strong technical background combined with proven experience in managing and delivering complex core banking projects. The ideal candidate will lead our technical team, ensuring high-quality deliverables, while also overseeing the end-to-end delivery process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.

Roles & Responsibilities:

. Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software engineers, developers, and technical professionals for core banking consulting, development design, build, test, debug, deploy and integration.

. Present core banking solutions to clients and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

. Presales activities for core banking, trade finance and payment solution

. Oversee the architecture, design, and development of technical solutions, ensuring alignment with industry best practices for integration solutions developed in-house or with off-the-shelves products

. Develop data migration strategy

. Provide hands-on coding and debugging when necessary, serving as the technical point of escalation.

. Oversee the entire project lifecycle from initiation to deployment, ensuring timely and successful delivery of projects.

. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.

. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to foster trust and collaboration.

. Coordinate customers for migrating from old solution to new solution

Required Skills:

1. Domain Expertise in Banking

. Banking Processes Knowledge: Understanding of banking operations, including customer accounts, loans, deposits, payments, and regulatory requirements.

. Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of financial regulations such as Basel III, GDPR, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Know Your Customer (KYC) protocols.

. Product Knowledge: Familiarity with various core banking products (loans, credit cards, deposits, etc.) and their lifecycle management.

2. Core Banking Software Expertise

. Experience with Core Banking Platforms: Familiarity with specific platforms like Temenos, Finacle, Flexcube, or T24.

. Integration Skills: Ability to integrate core banking systems with third-party services

. Customization and Configuration: Experience inconfiguring and customizing core banking systems according to the bank's specific requirements.

3. Software Development and Engineering

. Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages like Java, C++, Python, or SQL for backend development and system customization.

. API Development: Experience with RESTful or SOAP APIs for integrating with other financial systems and third-party applications.

. Database Management: Expertise in working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) for managing large volumes of transaction data.

. Microservices Architecture: Familiarity with microservices for breaking down core banking functionalities into independent services that can be scaled and maintained separately.

. Kafka, Cloud computing, API Gateway, IPAAS like Boomi or Mulesoft

4. Enterprise Architecture and Solution Design

. Architecture Frameworks: Knowledge of TOGAF, Zachman, or other enterprise architecture frameworks to design scalable and efficient systems.

. Systems Integration: Experience in integrating core banking systems with external systems like CRMs, ERPs, or mobile banking solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

. Good to have any certification in Core banking

. Good to have any certifications in AWS, Azure or GCP

. Good to have any architect certifications like TOGAF

. Good to have any project management certifications like PMP

. Experience in a client-facing role, with a proven track record of managing client relationships.
