The Role

Lead Consultant (Analytics), Digital Strategy & Plans, Transformation Office

NTUC and our affiliated trade unions are transforming our services to better serve workers. We partner other NTUC departments to analyse root causes and design cost-effective plans that use technologies to solve business problems. This position is in NTUC's Transformation Office, which drives digital transformation in NTUC. You will report to Deputy Director (Data & Analytics) and drive the development of the business intelligence layer and supporting layers that turn NTUC's data into actionable insights and decisions, and enable the shift from descriptive to diagnostic and predictive analytics.

In this role will:

  • Engage business stakeholders across NTUC to understand the decisions they make and recommend how those decisions can be translated into the metrics, dimensions, and data products.
  • Explore available datasets and assess the value they bring to NTUC's sensemaking and decision making.
  • Own the semantic data layer (e.g. governed metric definitions, shared semantic models) so that NTUC's business units can use natural language to query and explore data.
  • Own the business intelligence layer (e.g. enterprise dashboards, self-service analytics) and set standards for design and usability.
  • Oversee the administration and budget of the semantic and BI layers, e.g. licences, vendor engagements, capacity planning, and platform governance.
  • Support the development and implementation of data governance frameworks.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 8–12 years of experience in analytics.
  • Proven experience designing semantic data layers and leading the development and implementation of enterprise Business Intelligence.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills – able to interview business leaders, frame decisions, translate business needs into metric, logic and data requirements, guide stakeholders to make informed decisions about proposed metrics.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; interest in teasing out insights from data; comfortable navigating ambiguity and charting a clear path ahead.
  • Able to set high standards and influence without authority across cross-functional teams.
  • A strong sense of curiosity
