Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to lead site operations, ensuring projects meet safety standards and schedules while bridging communication between management and a diverse workforce.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily on-site project activities to ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards
- Supervise and manage a team by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and resolving conflicts to maintain productivity
- Enforce Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations to achieve a zero-incident work environment
- Manage project documentation, including progress reports and paperwork, using basic computer software for accurate record-keeping
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate smooth project execution and timely issue resolution
- Communicate effectively in English and Mandarin with management and clients to ensure clear information flow
- Utilize Bengali language skills to engage and manage migrant workforce communication effectively
- Adapt to working 6 days a week and shift systems as required by project demands
- Apply strong problem-solving skills to address site challenges and maintain organized operations under pressure
Required competencies and certifications
- Proven 6-8 years of supervisory experience in the construction industry
- Proficiency in project management and computer use for reporting and communication
- Fluency in English and Mandarin for coordination with management and clients
- Willingness to work 6 days a week and adapt to shift systems
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Proficiency in Bengali to communicate with migrant workforce
