Job Summary
You will supervise daily site activities, coordinate with clients and subcontractors, ensure construction works follow approved plans and safety standards, and maintain project schedules and quality on-site.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily site activities, ensuring workers are managed effectively and inspections are coordinated with client supervisory staff
- Verify that all wet trade construction works comply with approved plans and design specifications
- Ensure construction works adhere to project schedules, safety protocols, and quality standards
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to facilitate smooth work transitions and prevent abortive work through regular communication
- Prepare work areas and materials adequately for subcontractors to execute their tasks efficiently
- Monitor subcontractor performance, evaluate progress and manpower to ensure schedule adherence and resource adequacy
- Maintain accurate daily site records of manpower, materials usage, and work status
- Participate actively in site progress meetings and internal meetings as required
- Promote and enforce compliance with all safety regulations and practices on site
Required competencies and certifications
- Possess Building Construction Safety Supervisors (BCSS) or Supervise Construction Work in Workplace Safety and Health Certificate
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry
- Ability to work independently and meet targets in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in analytics and computer literacy to support site management tasks
- Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills for accurate record-keeping and evaluation
- Competent in risk management and value engineering to optimize project outcomes
- Effective time management, organizational skills, and change control capabilities
- Demonstrated teamwork and proactive communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with project teams and managers at all levels
- Willingness to work 5.5 days per week, based at the project site office
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese to communicate with stakeholders, vendors, and workers who speak Chinese, facilitating clear and effective coordination
