Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee and coordinate daily construction activities at our project sites.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising site operations, coordinating workers and subcontractors, monitoring work progress, and ensuring that construction works are carried out safely, efficiently and according to project requirements, drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at project sites.
• Plan and allocate manpower, materials, equipment and resources according to the work schedule.
• Supervise workers and subcontractors to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Monitor site progress and ensure works are completed according to the project schedule.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and other site personnel.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor workmanship and quality of completed works.
• Identify site issues and coordinate corrective actions to minimise delays.
• Ensure materials and equipment required for site activities are available when needed.
• Monitor material usage and minimise unnecessary wastage.
• Ensure workers comply with workplace safety and health requirements and established site safety procedures.
• Conduct or participate in toolbox meetings and daily work coordination.
• Assist in preparing site progress updates and maintaining relevant site records.
• Coordinate inspections and rectification works where required.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions at the worksite.
• Report work progress, manpower deployment, site issues and other relevant matters to the Project Manager.
• Perform other construction-related supervisory duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in construction site supervision or project/site coordination.
• Good knowledge of construction processes, site operations and work sequencing.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Good understanding of workplace safety and health requirements in a construction environment.
• Able to supervise and coordinate workers and subcontractors effectively.
• Able to plan daily site activities and monitor construction progress.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a project team.
• Able to work at different construction project sites in Singapore depending on project requirements.
