Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to oversee and coordinate daily on-site operations for construction projects in Singapore, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with building codes and project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead construction workers, subcontractors, and tradespeople to complete tasks according to project schedules and blueprints
- Plan and assign daily tasks to meet project timelines and quality standards
- Enforce adherence to safety regulations under the WSH Act and company policies to maintain a safe work environment
- Monitor work progress, control quality, and manage material usage to optimize resources
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to identify and resolve on-site issues promptly
- Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings to communicate hazards and safety practices
- Maintain accurate daily reports documenting manpower, progress, and incidents for project tracking
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of foreman experience in Singapore's construction industry, preferably in high-rise, civil, or industrial projects
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and schedules to guide work execution
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills to manage teams and resolve site challenges
- Knowledge of local safety standards including SCDF, BCA, and MOM regulations
- Valid BCA Supervisory Training Record (STR) or equivalent certification
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- WSH certifications such as Supervisor Safety Course to enhance safety management capabilities
- Ability to communicate effectively in English to coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Additional language skills in Mandarin or Malay, advantageous for communication with multilingual workers
- Physical fitness to perform on-site duties requiring mobility and endurance
