Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager to lead and manage construction projects from initiation to completion. The role involves ensuring projects meet budget, timeline, and quality standards while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements. This is a demanding position requiring leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.

Work Environment:

  • Requires site visits to outdoor construction areas under varying environmental conditions.
  • May involve working extended hours or weekends based on project needs.

Roles & Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Plan, execute, and oversee construction projects, ensuring timely delivery within approved budgets.
  • Develop comprehensive project schedules, risk assessments, and resource plans.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with workplace safety, health regulations, and quality standards.
  • Manage procurement processes, including bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and vendor selection.

Technical Oversight

  • Review and ensure all designs and construction works comply with specifications and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to meet project requirements.
  • Use AutoCAD and SketchUp proficiently to analyze and optimize design solutions.

Site Supervision

  • Oversee daily site activities, supervise subcontractors, and manage site labor force.
  • Liaise with surveyors and Qualified Persons (QP) representatives for inspections and quality control.
  • Resolve on-site technical issues promptly and effectively.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing concerns.
  • Conduct project team meetings to identify and resolve challenges during construction.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Prepare and manage contracts, change orders, progress reports, and safety records.
  • Provide detailed reports to senior management and ensure timely submission of invoices and payment tracking.

Skills & Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Project Management, recognized by BCA.

Experience

  • At least 4 years of project management experience, preferably in plumbing, sanitary, or construction industries.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in MS Project, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and MS Office.
  • Familiarity with construction management software, project scheduling tools, and cost estimation tools.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight schedules.
