(A)Job Summary:
The Site Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and supervision of site works, particularly for General Infrastructure Works (GIW), utility diversion, and traffic diversion activities. The role ensures works are executed in compliance with LTA requirements, approved drawings, and safety standards.
(B)Essential Job Functions:
The Site Engineer is responsible, but not limited to, the following:
- Assist in supervising daily site activities, including GIW, utility diversion, and traffic diversion works.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, utility agencies, and site teams to ensure smooth execution of works.
- Ensure works are carried out in accordance with LTA specifications, approved drawings, and method statements.
- Monitor progress and report site activities to senior engineers or management.
- Assist in preparing method statements, shop drawings, and technical submissions.
- Coordinate road diversion and traffic control measures with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
- Monitor utility diversion works (e.g., water, power, telecom) and ensure proper protection of existing services.
- Identify and report site issues, discrepancies, or clashes for timely resolution.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and QA/QC requirements.
- Maintain proper site records, reports, and documentation.
- Any ad-hoc duties as per assigned by Construction Manager/ Project Manager/ Project Director.
(C)Minimum Qualifications/ Job Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 1-4 years of relevant experience in construction projects.
- Experience in LTA projects preferred.
- Familiar with GIW, utility diversion, and traffic diversion works.
- Basic knowledge of LTA procedures and authority coordination.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
