Job Description
-Develop project plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), and master schedules.
-Define project scope, timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.
-Prepare and manage project budgets, cash flows, and cost forecasts.
-Monitor actual costs vs. budget and implement cost control measures.
-Approve progress claims, variation orders (VOs), and payment certifications.
-Lead and coordinate internal project team (engineers, supervisors, QS, etc.).
-Review tender submissions and select subcontractors/suppliers.
-Administer contracts and ensure contractual obligations are met.
-Oversee site progress to ensure work meets specifications, quality, and safety standards.
-Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
-Manage inspections, testing, and QA/QC processes.
-Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans.
-Prepare regular project status reports for internal and external use.
-Track project KPIs such as progress, cost, safety, and productivity.
-Ensure all works are completed, inspected, and defect-free.
-Lead project handover to client and secure final account settlement.
JobRequirements
-Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, Architecture, or a related discipline.
-Typically 5-10+ years of relevant work experience in construction or project management.
-Proven track record of managing full project cycles - from planning to handover.
-Familiarity with construction methods, materials, codes, and standards (e.g., BCA...).
-Strong leadership and people management skills.
-Able to manage and coordinate multiple teams and subcontractors.
-Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
-Better to have experience working at HDB or on HIP projects.
