Construction Project Manager (CPM) – Data Center (MEP) / Johor Bahru

The CPM (MEP Focus) will lead and manage all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) aspects of the data center construction project lifecycle. This role ensures the delivery of highly reliable, efficient, and compliant MEP systems - key to worldclass data center performance.

Responsibilities:

MEP Technical Leadership

Lead the full spectrum of MEP works including power distribution, UPS systems, gensets, chillers, CRAH/CRAC, fire suppression, and plumbing systems.

Review and validate design drawings, technical submissions, and MEP contractor proposals.

Ensure all MEP systems comply with DC standards, local codes, and commissioning requirements.

Project & Construction Management

Oversee MEP installation, testing, and commissioning activities across project phases.

Coordinate closely with CSA, structural, architecture, and vendor interfaces to ensure integrated delivery.

Monitor progress, quality, and risk for MEP workstreams; proactively resolve site issues.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

Liaise with MEP consultants, contractors, and equipment suppliers.

Participate in FAT/SAT, inspections, audits, and commissioning documentation review. Updated 19 March 2026

Support procurement of MEP packages, including technical evaluations.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure adherence to Malaysian regulatory requirements, industry codes, and DC best practices.

Uphold highest safety standards for MEP works on-site.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or relevant fields.

810 years experience in MEP engineering for data centers, hyperscale environments, or missioncritical facilities.

Strong understanding of highdensity cooling, electrical redundancy (N+1, 2N), and critical environment requirements.

Proficient in MEP design review, commissioning, and construction supervision.

Strong stakeholder and vendor management capabilities.

Fluent Mandarin preferred due to coordination needs.

PMP / relevant engineering certifications are an advantage.
