Job Summary
Manage construction projects by overseeing daily operations, monitoring performance, resolving issues, and coordinating with clients and consultants to ensure successful project delivery aligned with company policies.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of assigned projects to ensure compliance with company policies and standards
- Monitor project and sub-contractor performance, promptly resolving issues during and after project execution
- Communicate and enforce company policies within project teams to ensure effective implementation
- Identify potential construction problems and implement preventive measures and innovative techniques to improve construction processes
- Review and resolve contractual and technical matters related to projects and provide feedback on sub-contracts
- Lead internal project review meetings and report project performance to directors for informed decision-making
- Develop, monitor, and maintain project budgets, schedules, resource allocation, quality plans, environmental compliance, and safety plans according to company requirements
- Liaise with clients, architects, and consultants to coordinate project performance and ensure alignment with project goals
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Building, Civil, Structural Engineering, or other construction-related fields
- Minimum 5 years of relevant construction experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Proficiency in English and Chinese to effectively liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree, or Master's Degree in any field
- Strong management, communication, and problem-solving skills demonstrated through project leadership and issue resolution
