The Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to safety and quality standards. This role involves coordination between various stakeholders, supervision of on-site activities, and management of subcontractors and workers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate construction activities to meet project milestones.
- Oversee day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring safety and quality compliance.
- Manage site personnel including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, regulatory authorities, and internal departments.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure adherence to safety protocols and risk assessments.
- Monitor project costs, manpower utilization, and material requirements to ensure project profitability.
- Prepare progress reports, budgets, cost estimates, and resource plans.
- Attend project coordination meetings and resolve site-related issues with clients, consultants and subcontractors
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction project management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience in building construction, civil engineering, manpower supply or infrastructure projects preferred.
- Good communication and stakeholder management
- Strong understanding of safety regulations (WSH standards)
- Able to manage construction projects independently from commencement to completion
- Familiar with local authority requirements and site operations
