Job Summary
Support the Lead Resident Engineer by overseeing construction and commissioning activities, coordinating teams, managing quality assurance and safety, and ensuring contract compliance for large water treatment plant projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Resident Engineer in managing construction and commissioning activities to ensure timely and quality project delivery
- Process contractor claims, including progress payments, variations, and extension of time requests, to maintain accurate project financials
- Coordinate between the Design Team and Contractors to align scheduling, cost control, document management, and quality assurance programs
- Review and update contractor schedules and cost status reports to monitor project progress and budget adherence
- Manage quality assurance and safety compliance on-site to uphold project standards and regulatory requirements
- Supervise the Consultant's site supervision team to ensure effective site operations and communication
Required competencies and certifications
- Possess a relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent certificate
- Demonstrate at least 15 years of construction experience, including a minimum of 10 years managing large used water/water treatment plant projects or similarly complex construction contracts
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Demonstrate strong communication and supervisory skills to lead teams and liaise with stakeholders effectively
