Job Summary
The Construction Manager is responsible for managing site operations, resource deployment, and overall project execution to meet defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This role involves working closely with subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth delivery of all construction activities while maintaining compliance with EHS and contractual requirements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and execute comprehensive project start-up and execution plans, defining key targets for time, cost, quality, resources, EHS, and contractual compliance
- Allocate and manage resources effectively to maintain seamless site operations throughout all construction phases
- Oversee procurement activities and control material stock to ensure timely delivery of equipment, building components, and logistics, supporting uninterrupted project progress
- Direct subcontractor management by monitoring manpower deployment, work progress, and scheduling to guarantee on-time completion of construction tasks
- Engage proactively with clients representatives and consultants to resolve project-related issues, ensuring adherence to contracts, construction standards, and EHS regulations
- Design and implement robust reporting and control procedures that enhance project operational efficiency and delivery outcomes
- Drive adoption of innovative construction methodologies and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) solutions to boost productivity and achieve lean construction objectives
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project management and/or site management for building projects
- Strong technical expertise in construction methodologies and sequencing
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience with precast and DfMA technologies
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders to meet project milestones and deliverables
- Prior involvement in airport, commercial, institutional, or government construction projects
