Role Purpose
Lead and manage all MEP‑related construction works across Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, HVAC, Process Utilities and associated systems to ensure projects are executed safely, to specification, and at world‑class quality. This position requires deep technical expertise, strong field leadership, and extensive experience delivering complex semiconductor, data center, pharmaceutical, or advanced technology facility projects.
Job Responsibilities:
Plan and control the project
- Ensure effective co-ordination among contractors/vendors when delivering materials in & out of the site by allocation of time slots
- Responsible for regular reporting of the logistics status.
- Attends the following essential meeting/site walk - Weekly EHS meeting / weekly EHS site walk / weekly contractors coordination meeting & liaising with Client on plant access if project is brown field or A&A.
- Responsible for all excavation & external works construction site activities & the coordination of the work & sequencing including identification, evaluation, and resolution of site problem.
- Responsible for reviewing lifting plans & construction plant & equipment for suitability.
- Responsible for maintaining the construction site & temporary works to authority & code requirements where this does not conflict with EHS duties & responsibilities.
- Understood the commercial performance of project in relation to external work activities & compliance with FI process.
- Responsible for ensuring all earthwork activities comply with Authority BCM requirement.
- Overall Site facilities management
- Overall management of 300 MWG direct workers who would be performing various works including responsible for EHS for these workers.
- Manage general works as listed below including EHS compliance related to the work being carried out:
- Barricades
- Cover access entries
- Wheel wash area management & maintenance
- All drains maintenance to comply with NEA requirement
- Manage the MWG store with the Store man
- Manage the waste bin on site
- Display & promote exyte corporate ethics & Leadership principles
- Site ownership for site establishment & temporary Building package works
Develop a competent team
- Monitors overall performance and continuously analyses performance to detect and avoid problems and to seize improvement opportunities.
- Monitors and maintains a balanced approach to contractor rates and liaises with client on this issue
HSE (IFW Culture)
- Provide visible HSE leadership. . Allocate sufficient resources for HSE.
- Ensure HSE training needs and skills for Project Team are identified.
- Conduct formal/informal site visits, inspections and risk assessments.
- Regularly monitor and review HSE issues and performance of project and implement corrective action.
- Report and communicate on project HSE issues/incidents.
- Assure accountability of project line managers and supervisor
Quality
- Ensure the Project Team are provided with and have a clear understanding of the associated Standard Operating Procedures
- Ensure that an integrated team culture exists and that the project team / taskforce personnel fully understand the scope and execution strategy
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Civil/Structural Engineering
- Minimum 12-15 years of proven experience in managing MEP construction for large‑scale industrial, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or mission-critical facilities.
- Demonstrated leadership of multi‑disciplinary MEP teams exceeding 50+ personnel.
- Strong experience in:
- High‑pressure and high‑purity systems
- HV/LV electrical distribution & critical power systems
- Fire protection and life‑safety systems
- Cleanroom MEP requirements
- Process utility systems integration
- Pre‑commissioning and commissioning support
- Excellent understanding of authority regulations, codes of practice, safety requirements, and MOM guidelines.
- Ability to manage complex sequencing, tight schedules, and multi-stakeholder environments.
