Oversee all construction activities, ensuring performance, compliance with procedures, and providing recommendations to project managers for improvements and corrective actions.
Manage contractors with a focus on quality, adherence to engineering drawings, codes and standards, schedules, and cost control.
Coordinate closely with the engineering team to support construction activities.
Assist in the development and implementation of corporate construction policies.
Ensure effective management of project activities to achieve timely delivery and minimize wastage.
Lead and manage a team of engineers.
Collaborate with other departments on matters impacting project works.
Liaise with government authorities, consultants, clients, and suppliers.
Provide timely project progress reports to management and participate in execution meetings with senior managers.
Build, guide, and develop a multicultural workforce and management team to meet organizational goals while complying with regulations and laws.
Ensure quality assurance and ISO standards are met across all construction activities, and consistently align with client specifications.
Allocate resources effectively to maximize productivity.
Carry out other ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements
Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and negotiation skills with proven people management capabilities.
Independent, analytical, and results-driven.
Demonstrated track record of completing projects successfully, on time, and within budget.
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (recognized by BCA is a plus).
Minimum 7 years of construction experience, with specific expertise in jetty, pier, or wharf projects.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Primavera, and AutoCAD.
Able to start work immediately or within short notice
