Construction Manager (Institutional Project, A1 main Con)
Our client is a leading A1 main contractor in Singapore with integrated building and civil engineering capabilities. The organisation has built an impressive track record of notable and iconic projects, delivering high quality products and services to its clients.
They are now seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead an institutional development project in the East region.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full spectrum of construction activities, ensuring smooth coordination across civil, structural, architectural, and internal building works.
- Manage site logistics, including planning and controlling site access, traffic flow, delivery schedules, temporary storage, and staging areas.
- Coordinate site materials arrangement, including material flow, storage layout, and timely delivery to workfronts.
- Arrange and manage temporary utilities, including water supply, power setup, and allocation to different trades and zones.
- Plan and allocate manpower resources, ensuring efficient deployment of workers, equipment, and subcontractors across disciplines.
- Lead construction sequencing, resolve technical challenges, and ensure alignment between C&S, architectural, and interfacing works.
- Review drawings, method statements, and technical submissions provide buildability input and oversee implementation.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.
- Monitor site progress, manage risks, prepare progress reports, and address site challenges proactively.
- Foster a high performance work culture focused on safety, quality, professionalism, and on time delivery.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- 5 years of relevant construction manager experience with a main contractor.
- Strong experience in coordinating C&S and architectural works.
- Good planning, leadership, and communication skills.
- Experience with institutional or government linked developments is an advantage.
