Our company is expanding, and we are seeking a highly accomplished and forward-thinking Construction Manager to join our leadership team. Position Overview

The Construction Manager will spearhead all project execution activities, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and technical excellence. You will serve as the primary leader on-site, guiding multidisciplinary teams, coordinating with consultants and clients, and ensuring the seamless delivery of projects within the approved schedule and budget.

This role is ideal for a dynamic professional with a strong command of construction practices, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing successful projects.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic planning, direction, and supervision for all construction operations.
  • Review, interpret, and implement architectural, structural, and M&E drawings with accuracy.
  • Lead and manage project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders effectively.
  • Oversee site progress, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and uphold quality standards.
  • Develop and track project schedules, progress reports, and resource allocation plans.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges, design variations, and site-related issues promptly.
  • Conduct coordination meetings, safety briefings, and site inspections on a regular basis.
  • Maintain strict project documentation including daily logs, reports, and correspondence.
  • Ensure timely execution of works while controlling project costs and mitigating risks.
  • Evaluate and verify subcontractor performance, claims, and variation orders.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
  • Strategic Project Ownership: Take full accountability for planning, budgeting, executing, and closing construction projects, ensuring adherence to master schedules and budgetary constraints (e.g., managing a $50M project from $1M design through $49M build and final handover).
  • Team Leadership & Management: Recruit, mentor, and direct site supervisors, foremen, and trade workers. Foster a high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, and productivity. Manage conflicts and drive collaborative solutions.
  • Financial & Contractual Mastery: Oversee all procurement, contract negotiation, change order management, and pay application processing. Proactively identify and mitigate financial risks to maximize profitability.
  • Quality & Compliance Assurance: Implement and enforce rigorous quality control programs. Ensure absolute compliance with all local, state, and federal building codes, safety regulations (OSHA), and environmental standards.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, local authorities, and subcontractors. Manage expectations, provide clear progress reports, and resolve technical issues swiftly.
  • Site Safety & Logistics: Develop and enforce comprehensive site-specific safety plans. Optimize site logistics, material staging, and equipment utilization to maintain peak operational efficiency.

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8-15 years of progressive experience in construction project management.
  • Solid understanding of building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple project phases concurrently.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a high level of professionalism.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, and construction management software is an advantage.
