Construction Carpenter

Job Description & Requirements

1)Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

2)Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install materials such as wood, plywood, and drywall

3)Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, roofs, doors, and windows

4)Install fixtures such as cabinets, trim, molding, and hardware

5)Repair or remodel existing structures as needed

6)Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and effectively

7)Ensure work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications

8)Collaborate with supervisors, contractors, and other trades on-site

9)Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Requirements:

1)Proven experience as a carpenter in construction or related fields

2)Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools

3)Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings

4)Familiarity with local building codes and safety standards

5)Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work at heights, and stand for long periods

6)Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship

7)Strong problem-solving and time-management skills

8)Ability to work independently and as part of a team
