About the Role

As part of the MP regional team, this role offers the opportunity to work closely with MP Singapore, supporting the planning and delivery of high-profile conferences, exhibitions, and industry events involving global organisations, government agencies, industry leaders, sponsors, exhibitors, delegates, and international stakeholders.
You will gain exposure not just to Malaysia-based projects, but also Singapore-led projects, collaborate with experienced cross-functional teams, and have opportunities to travel to Singapore during key event periods to support onsite execution and delivery.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end planning and execution of conferences, exhibitions, meetings, and business events from project initiation to completion.
- Develop and manage project timelines, work plans, deliverables, budgets, and critical milestones to ensure successful event delivery.
- Act as the key project liaison between clients, internal teams, partners, vendors, venues, and stakeholders.
- Manage conference requirements including programme coordination, speaker management, delegate registration, VIP arrangements, event logistics, onsite operations, and post-event reporting.
- Coordinate with venues and appointed vendors including AV, production, registration, F&B, logistics, creative, and other service providers.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, review quotations, track expenses, manage cost control, and ensure projects are delivered within approved financial parameters.
- Support client servicing through regular project updates, meetings, documentation, reporting, and proactive management of project risks and issues.
- Develop event operational documents including project schedules, run sheets, production timelines, briefing documents, and onsite deployment plans.
- Lead onsite execution, manage event teams and vendors, troubleshoot operational issues, and ensure smooth delivery of the event.
- Work closely with Singapore team on cross-border projects, including supporting Singapore-based events when required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, government agencies, industry partners, associations, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Work with marketing communications teams where required to support event promotion, communications, delegate engagement, and event-related collaterals.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, attendee experience, and event delivery standards.

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in conference, exhibition, corporate event, or professional event management.
- Proven experience managing events from planning to onsite execution independently.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, timelines, and priorities.
- Experience handling budgets, vendor negotiations, and cost management.
- Strong communication, coordination, and client servicing skills.
- Able to work independently, take ownership, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced event environment.
- Comfortable working with regional teams and travelling to Singapore during event periods when required.
- Experience managing government, association, or large-scale B2B events will be an advantage.
- Positive attitude, strong sense of responsibility, and willingness to learn and grow with the team.
