Job Responsibilities
As a member of the Computer Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless and continuous operation of the bank's IT systems across multiple platforms-including Mainframe, AS/400, UNIX, and Windows-within a 24x7 Command Center environment. This role demands strong attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to maintaining high service availability in a mission-critical environment.
- Exceptions Monitoring: Perform real-time monitoring of system platforms, applications, ATM services and network infrastructure using enterprise monitoring tools and promptly escalate exceptions to corresponding support teams, in accordance with SOPs, for timely action.
- Batch Operations: Track and manage scheduled batch jobs, ensuring timely execution and resolution of job failures conforming to the SLAs with business
- Incident Management: Promptly identify, escalate, and track incidents to the appropriate support teams, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
- First-Level Support: Conduct first-level diagnosis and resolution of system and batch issues before escalating to higher support tiers
- Collaboration: Work closely with infrastructure and application support teams to coordinate responses to incidents and planned maintenance activities.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate operational logs, incident records, and shift handover documentation to support audit and compliance reviews.
Job Requirements
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in IT operations or Command Center environment
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with one or more of the IT systems - Mainframe, AS/400, UNIX/Linux, Windows
- Tools: Working experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Language: Fluency in both spoken and written English
- Soft Skills: Good interpersonal skills, ability to work as a team player, and remain calm under pressure
- Shift Readiness: Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts following a structured pattern (e.g. three consecutive workdays followed by two days off, then two workdays followed by another two days off).
