Job description
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines, scripts (Python/SQL), and APIs to integrate PLM/ERP systems with supplier portals, market intelligence platforms, and parametric databases.
- Analyse component parametrics and attributes (electrical, mechanical, thermal), supplier information, lifecycle status, cost, lead times, quality metrics, and compliance data to identify and resolve data integrity issues.
- Lead data‑cleansing initiatives by defining validation rules and automating data‑quality checks to ensure ongoing accuracy and consistency of material data.
- Analyse product BOMs alongside demand and supply data to predict manufacturing risks arising from component obsolescence or market shortages.
- Develop self‑service dashboards (Power BI/Tableau) to monitor lifecycle risk, shortage exposure, cost variance, supplier performance, and overall component health.
- Partner with Design, Procurement, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to enable cost‑reduction initiatives, lead‑time mitigation, and supplier quality improvements.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to optimize system configurations, workflows, and integration points, ensuring seamless material data flow from component engineering through manufacturing.
- Maintain component data standards, documentation, and training materials, promoting best practices in analytics and data governance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BEng/BSc) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in component engineering, material master data management, supply chain analytics, or hardware‑focused data analytics.
- Strong knowledge of electronic components (ICs, active and passive devices, electromechanical components), including key parametrics, characteristics, commodity hierarchies, and supplier/manufacturer markets.
- Proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, DAX, Azure Data Factory, and related analytics tools.
- Advanced SQL skills with experience in database development, management, and data ecosystems.
- Hands‑on experience with product BOMs, engineering documentation, and change‑control processes.
- Practical experience with PLM/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), including data structures, storage models, and system configuration.
- Strong mathematical, statistical, and analytical capabilities to model data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
- Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to lead cross‑functional data initiatives from requirements definition through implementation.
- Highly adaptable, proactive, and detail‑oriented, with a strong commitment to data accuracy, consistency, and governance.
