Compliance Team Lead, Commodities
Currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Manager to join our client's Legal and Compliance team. Key Responsibilities:
Enhance and Manage Compliance Program: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our existing compliance program, ensuring its effectiveness in mitigating compliance risks.
Monitoring and Reporting: Oversee and monitor key compliance activities, providing regular reports on their status and actions taken to mitigate risks.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work proactively and collaboratively with various business and support departments, as well as third parties, to implement the compliance program and resolve any compliance-related issues.
Process Documentation: Maintain the manual on compliance processes and procedures, ensuring it remains up to date.
Regulatory Advisement: Provide expert advice on the scope of business activities in accordance with current and future regulatory requirements. Evaluate key outputs from regulators and industry bodies, advising Management and relevant business/support units on their impact.
Training and Culture: Manage the staff training program, fostering a strong and robust compliance culture within the organization through regular compliance training initiatives.
Reporting: Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc compliance reports, both internally and externally.
Internal Investigations: Conduct internal investigations when necessary, in response to compliance issues, producing comprehensive investigation reports.
Team Management: Lead and manage a dedicated team of 3 or more professionals within the Compliance Section, which falls under the Legal & Compliance Department, to fulfil the above responsibilities.
About You:
7-10 years of experience in compliance, controls, legal or audit.
AML knowledge specifically in relation to sanctions and embargoes
Experience with anti-bribery and corruption data privacy and KYC
Industry experience in oil and gas, understanding global oil trade operations and industry regulatory regimes.
