Role Purpose
To assist the Compliance Manager in development and maintenance of Swire Bulk's policies and procedures while strengthening the overall compliance awareness and culture in the Company.
Role Accountabilities
Compliance
- Support the Compliance Manager to design, implement, review, and update Compliance policies and procedures aligned with JS&SL Level requirements. Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of documented controls, identify gaps, and recommend pragmatic enhancements to strengthen governance and risk mitigation.
- Support the accuracy and currency of the policy repository by updating, administering, and maintaining policies and procedures within the Company's Policy Management System. Ensure version control, proper indexing, retrieval readiness, and audit traceability, and coordinate timely updates with relevant policy owners when revisions are required.
- Support Compliance Manager in driving compliance awareness and culture-building initiatives across the Group and global offices by contributing to the design and rollout of compliance communications and training. Develop training materials, coordinate workshops/briefings, deliver or support facilitation, and tailor messaging to promote practical adoption of compliance expectations.
- Perform first-line compliance screening for vendor onboarding by executing vendor due diligence checks including compliance screening and sanctions checks as part of the vendor onboarding workstream. Identify red flags, document screening outcomes, escalate exceptions, and support remediation actions to ensure onboarding decisions are risk-informed and defensible.
- Support and strengthen Counterparty KYC and sanctions screening workflows by assisting the Compliance Manager in oversight activities, ensuring that KYC documentation and screening results are complete, properly reviewed, and aligned with internal requirements. Monitor follow-ups, support issue resolution, and help maintain workflow consistency across stakeholders.
- Serve as a key point of coordination with internal stakeholders on compliance and data protection matters, providing advisory support on policy interpretation, controls expectations, and day-to-day compliance/data protection queries. Guide stakeholders on risk-aware decision making, escalate material concerns when needed, and contribute to consistent application of compliance standards across functions and locations.
- Support audit readiness and audit execution by assisting in the management of internal audits, including coordinating document requests, evidence collation, stakeholder scheduling, and response tracking. Help ensure timely closure of audit actions and support follow-up on remediation plans where applicable.
- Lead or contribute to ad-hoc projects on process improvement and controls assessment by mapping workflows, identifying control weaknesses or inefficiencies, and supporting implementation of improvements. Drive task ownership for assigned initiatives, ensuring deliverables are completed with clear documentation and measurable outcomes.

Key Qualifications & Skills
Qualifications
- Degree in Accountancy or Finance or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in Internal Audit or External Audit with focus on process and controls/ in policies and procedures management
- Third party risk / KYC/ Sanctions Screening knowledge will be a bonus
Technical Skills
- Great with Microsoft 365
- Familiar with Windows Visio, Powerapps and Dow Jones sanctions screening
- Understanding of internal control framework, process improvement and workflow tracking
- Bonus: AI Literary - Demonstrates practical understanding of AI-enabled tools and ensures use aligns with internal policies, confidentiality obligations and applicable regulatory requirements
