Compliance & Quality Assurance Manager (Retail Operations)

Role Overview

The Compliance & Quality Assurance Manager ensures that all company-owned and leased retail outlets operate in full compliance with Singapore regulatory standards, and maintains high operational and quality standards across the retail portfolio. The role focuses on regulatory adherence, internal audits, risk management, and continuous improvement of operational practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs for all retail operations covering food hygiene, workplace safety, licensing, and other regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct internal audits and inspections across multiple retail outlets to ensure adherence to regulatory and company standards.

  • Establish, review, and enforce SOPs for operational quality, food safety, and staff conduct.

  • Monitor performance metrics related to compliance, operational efficiency, and quality assurance.

  • Train outlet managers and staff on regulatory requirements, SOPs, and best practices.

  • Investigate incidents, complaints, or non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with regulatory authorities (SFA, NEA, MOM, SCDF) for licensing, audits, and inspections.

  • Advise senior management on compliance risks, process improvements, and operational governance.

  • Support cross-functional initiatives to integrate compliance and quality standards into retail operations planning.

  • Maintain documentation, reports, and records to demonstrate regulatory adherence and internal governance.

Professional Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Hospitality, Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.

Minimum 5-8 years professional experience in compliance, quality assurance, or regulatory management within food retail, F&B, or multi-outlet retail operations.

Strong knowledge of Singapore regulatory frameworks including SFA, NEA, MOM, SCDF, and licensing requirements.

Proven experience in developing and implementing SOPs, audits, and compliance programs.

Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple retail outlets and enforce consistent compliance standards.

Experience in staff training and regulatory coordination is an advantage.
