About the Role

The Compliance Officer, Transaction Monitoring will be a key member of the Compliance team, primarily responsible for the execution of the firm's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) framework through effective transaction monitoring and screening processes. The role requires a strong analytical mind, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep understanding of regulatory expectations, particularly those set by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

Key Responsibilities

. Review and disposition of transaction monitoring system alerts.

. Conduct holistic review of client transactions during KYC periodic reviews.

. Perform comprehensive investigation of suspicious activities.

. Review and resolve name screening hits from payments screening (Sanctions/Watchlist).

. Draft and submit timely Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs).

. Assist in responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) from regulators/banks.

. Perform and document threshold analysis reviews (tuning) of monitoring rules.

. Generate and analyse alert statistics for management reporting.

. Assist in ad-hoc projects (e.g., Remediation, Audits, UAT) and AML/CFT training.

. Maintain strong understanding of MAS AML/CFT regulatory requirements and adapt to new policies promptly.

Requirements

. . Minimum 4-6 years of hands-on Transaction Monitoring experience in banking/financial services.

. Diploma/Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or related field.

. Strong knowledge of Transaction Monitoring Rules and principles and the underlying regulatory framework.

. Solid understanding of MAS AML/CFT regulatory requirements (e.g., Notice 626).

. Proactive, creative, and meticulous problem-solver with high ethical standards.

. Excellent interpersonal skills ability to collaborate with Business Teams and work effectively under pressure.

. Highly Desirable: ACMAS certification or equivalent (e.g., ACAMS, ICA).
