Job Description

Our client is a leading Private Equity Real Estate (PERE) investment platform seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to lead and oversee the firm's global compliance, regulatory, governance, and risk management framework.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Legal Partner of the Sponsor Team, this individual will serve as a trusted advisor to senior management, ensuring that the organization maintains the highest standards of regulatory compliance, investor protection, fund governance, and operational integrity across multiple jurisdictions. This Compliance Officer will play a critical role in supporting fundraising, fund management, investment activities, portfolio oversight, and sustainability initiatives while navigating an increasingly complex regulatory environment.

This a unique opportunity that plays a strategic senior role within a growing institutional real estate investment platform. The successful candidate will have direct exposure to executive leadership, global investment activities, sophisticated fund structures, institutional investors, and evolving ESG and regulatory initiatives while helping shape the firm's governance and compliance framework for future growth.

You should have;

  • Deep understanding of:

  • AML/KYC requirements
  • Fund governance frameworks
  • Institutional investor reporting requirements
  • Real estate investment structures
  • ESG and sustainability regulations
  • Valuation governance and reporting standards

You are;

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business, Real Estate, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant compliance, regulatory, legal, risk management, or governance experience.
  • Prior experience within: Private Equity Real Estate (PERE), Real Estate Funds, Private Equity, Alternative Investments, Asset Management, Institutional Investment Platforms
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with regulators, institutional investors, auditors, and governing boards.
  • Strong understanding of fund structures, investment vehicles, fundraising activities, and cross-border regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence senior leadership and investment professionals.
  • Excellent judgment, integrity, and ethical standards.
  • Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset and strong risk awareness.
  • Ability to operate independently in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
