About Our Client
Our client is an established financial services platform with licensed entities in Singapore, supporting a broad range of capital markets and investment businesses.
The firm is looking to appoint a Financial Crime Compliance Officer to support AML/CFT matters across multiple business lines, including institutional brokerage, sales and trading, investment banking, derivatives, fixed income, wealth management and asset management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support AML/CFT compliance across Singapore licensed entities
- Conduct enterprise-wide ML/TF risk assessments
- Monitor business relationships and client transactions for suspicious activity
- Review KYC and client onboarding documentation
- Support periodic reviews, remediation exercises, screenings and ad-hoc risk reviews
- Advise business, operations and support teams on AML/CFT requirements
- Draft suspicious transaction reports and support escalation of material issues
- Prepare financial crime compliance updates for management and governance forums
- Conduct AML/CFT training and compliance monitoring
- Support MAS, SGX, internal and external audits relating to financial crime matters
- Track regulatory developments and recommend framework enhancements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Banking, Finance or related discipline
- Minimum 2 years compliance experience within a financial institution
- Experience in AML/CFT, KYC, account opening or client onboarding preferred
- Exposure to securities, brokerage, wealth management, asset management or capital markets businesses would be advantageous
- Good understanding of Singapore AML/CFT regulations; Hong Kong exposure is a plus
- ACAMS or financial crime certification would be advantageous
- Strong analytical skills with ability to assess client, product, geography and transaction risk factors
- Detail-oriented, independent and able to manage multiple stakeholders
- Strong written and spoken English; Mandarin proficiency would be highly advantageous to liase with counterparts in North Asia markets
