A Singapore-based digital assets and payment services firm is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to manage regulatory compliance and risk for their growing operations.
The Role
You'll assist the Head of Compliance in independently executing the compliance program, providing advisory support across digital assets and digital payment token services. This position offers the opportunity to build compliance frameworks in an innovative and fast-moving sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure policies and procedures comply with the Securities and Futures Act (SFA), Payment Services Act (PSA), and other applicable regulations
- Develop and implement AML and transaction monitoring programs aligned with PSA requirements
- Partner with business and operations teams to identify compliance risks and design effective controls
- Conduct outsourcing and third-party risk assessments
- Monitor regulatory developments and lead gap analysis initiatives
- Execute compliance testing to ensure controls function effectively
- Oversee AML, CFT, and Sanctions compliance and monitoring
- Perform AML/CFT Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessments (EWRA)
Requirements
- Degree in any discipline
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in capital markets and payment services
- Strong knowledge of regulations applicable to payment service license holders
- Understanding of fiat and DPT transaction monitoring, travel rule, and wallet screenings
- Familiarity with digital assets and distributed ledger technology (preferred)
- ICA Diploma or CAMS qualification (advantageous)
