Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough customer due diligence (CDD) reviews to verify the identity of new and existing customers, assess risk profiles, and ensure compliance with AML requirements.
  • Analyze and review customer documentation, transaction patterns, and other relevant data to detect and investigate suspicious activities, including potential money laundering or terrorist financing.
  • Monitor and enhance transaction monitoring systems to identify and report any unusual or suspicious transactions promptly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as Fiat Payment, Legal, and Operations, to ensure consistent implementation and adherence to AML policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on regulatory developments, industry trends, and emerging risks related to AML compliance within the industry.
  • Handle inquiries and escalations related to AML matters from internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies.
  • Assist with regulatory examinations, audits, and inquiries related to AML compliance.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve AML processes and controls to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CAMS) would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience working in AML, compliance, preferably within the banking industry or a financial institution.
  • In-depth knowledge of AML regulations, frameworks, and best practices, including familiarity with FATF recommendations.
  • Experience with transaction monitoring tools and familiarity with industry-standard AML software solutions
  • Excellent analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential risks.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex AML concepts to various stakeholders.
