A licensed boutique asset manager is adding a compliance hire to its Singapore office. The role sits under the Singapore director and works alongside external advisors who hold the technical brief. The day-to-day job is regulatory maintenance and office administration, and it suits someone who executes well within a defined structure and is comfortable with both sides of the remit.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day MAS compliance: licensing maintenance, regulatory filings, AML/CFT programme, and policy upkeep
- Coordinate with external advisors and service providers to implement and maintain the firm's compliance policies and procedures
- Handle regulatory correspondence and serve as the Singapore entity's primary MAS liaison
- Cover light office operations: corporate secretarial liaison, monthly accounts preparation, and general administrative support
- Report on compliance status to the Singapore director, escalating issues as required
Key Requirements
- 4–8 years in compliance within asset management, fund management, or financial services regulation, whether in-house or in an advisory firm
- Working knowledge of MAS licensing requirements and the regulatory regime applicable to licensed fund managers (SFA, FAA, AML/CFT)
- Comfortable coordinating across external advisors and internal stakeholders without needing a team behind them
- Track record of implementing compliance policies and procedures, rather than advising on them from the outside
- Some exposure to corporate governance or office operations is useful; the role covers both
