Our client, an independent active global asset manager with over USD 100 billion in assets, including retail funds, is seeking a Compliance Manager in an individual contributor role to join its APAC team to be based in Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Keeping track of regulatory updates and supporting the Singapore Compliance function to perform assessment and assist with implementation of any new/revised regulations.
- Keeping track of and ensuring timely submission of all regulatory/governmental filings and submissions including MAS/Singapore governmental surveys and questionnaires.
- Managing licensing requirements for individuals including assessing the relevant needs to obtain a license, managing the license application/notification, sending reminders to representatives.
- Managing regulatory filing/notification obligations with respect to funds registered in Singapore as restricted schemes.
- Supporting the Singapore Compliance function in undertaking any required risk assessment and compliance monitoring.
- Contributing to the preparation of various internal compliance reporting as well as any regulatory reporting.
- Managing registers for outsourcing, CPD training hours, internal breaches, PAD etc.
- Acting as the primary contact point with external compliance consultant.
- Serving as the Data Protection Officer for the Singapore office.
- Supporting the Singapore Compliance function in performing AML/CFT reviews and monitoring including CDD, name screening etc as and when needed.
- Providing support to SG Compliance function in reviewing advertisements/marketing materials as and when needed.
Requirements
- Looking for a candidate with 5 plus years in a global asset Manager.
- Candidate MUST have had experience and knowledge of compliance within retail funds
- Budget is maximum of SGD $135k base salary per annum (SGD $11,250 per month)
- Candidate must be comfortable working in a small environment with only circa 10 employees based in Singapore
- Candidate must be able to work independently given they will be the only person in the Compliance team based in Singapore.
