Job Description

Principal Responsibilities

Financial Crime

1. Manage effective daily clearing of the SIRON KYC/TCR/TM and SafeWatch batch alerts within the required timelines

2. Alert disposition (investigation) to rule out false positive hits and ability to initiate CDD/KYC review for alerts

3. Support on-boarding and ongoing reviews from Fen X and able to manage Financial Crime advisories relating to customers according to Group Policies and MAS Notice 626 & Guidelines relating to AML/CFT

4. AML systems replacement implementation

5. Gathering necessary information from different stakeholders and conducting open searches to rule out alerts as well as enhanced due diligence escalating true matches and suspicious activities to MLRO and ability to manage investigations with SG and Group stakeholders and file STRs to the Singapore Police Force promptly

6. Support in Financial Crime Group Policy change management including impact assessment, and update of SG Procedures including training of the Branch

7. Preparation for reporting to Group Compliance and managing enquiries on basis of reporting and implementing any issue governance and KRI changes as required by Group

8. Manage AML AUP and EY SG audit Request-For-Information and be able to manage less complex AML/CFT queries from all auditors

9. Manage periodic Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment and Anti Bribery and Corruption assessments and reporting required by Group and to SG CFCC

10. Partake in CFCC committee meetings preparation, back up to MLRO, Asia when he/she is away

Regulatory Compliance

1. Update Regulatory Change Register

2. Manage SG Branch's annual compliance testing programme

3. Manage Data Protection Risk Assessment and Annual Plan initiatives that are compliance related

4. Manage Branch's BCP Annual Plan assessment in Business Impact Assessment as well as bi-annual BCP exercises.

5. Be the maker of all Outsourcing initiatives implemented by the Branch for compliance with MAS Notice and Guidelines on Outsourcing and Third-Party arrangements.

6. Act as back up to Head of Compliance & MLRO, Asia during his/her leave/absence.

7. Effectively support GM on MAS queries when Head of Compliance is away. Where required, to gather information and interpret consolidated information when MAS has ongoing enquiries during its supervisory work.

Job Requirements

Knowledge
. Excellent knowledge and understanding of Anti-money Laundering.

. Excellent knowledge of Customer Due Diligence/ Know your Customer requirements.

. Good understanding of Sanctions and screening

. Good understanding of MAS regulatory requirements of a wholesale bank

. Good computer skills with capability to use spreadsheets, graphic and presentation packages to review and create professional material.

Education
. Suitably educated, preferably with a bachelor's degree (a prerequisite).

Experience
. Mid-level Financial Crime and/or Regulatory Compliance trained professionals looking to expand into regulatory compliance knowledge and portfolio.

. Preferably 10 years of prior experience in Financial Crime and/or Regulatory Compliance in a FI.

. Compliance-related qualifications would be an advantage (e.g. ACAMS, ICA).
