An established and fast-growing financial services platform is looking for a senior compliance leader to drive its regulatory and risk management agenda across digital financial products.
This role will be instrumental in ensuring that the business operates within applicable laws while supporting innovation in areas such as digital payments and emerging financial technologies.
Role Responsibilities
- Stay ahead of regulatory developments in Singapore and relevant global jurisdictions, and assess their implications on business activities
- Build and refine practical compliance programmes that support business growth while maintaining strong governance standards
- Establish robust controls to detect, assess, and escalate financial crime risks, including suspicious activity and transaction irregularities
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, ensuring regulatory considerations are incorporated into product design and operational processes
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities, external reviewers, and industry groups, maintaining transparent and constructive relationships
- Provide clear, commercially balanced guidance to senior leadership on regulatory expectations and risk exposure
- Promote awareness of compliance obligations across the organisation through structured training and ongoing engagement
- Lead and develop a capable compliance function, fostering accountability and high performance within the team
Candidate Profile
- Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline such as law, finance, business, or accounting
- Extensive experience (12+ years) in compliance, with exposure to financial crime risk management within fintech, payments, digital assets, or banking environments
- Familiarity with Singapore's regulatory landscape governing payment services and related financial activities
- Professional qualifications (e.g., ACAMS, ICA or equivalent) will be advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across both business and control functions
- Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal
- Demonstrates sound judgement, integrity, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment
