About the Role
We are expanding our Legal & Compliance team with a Compliance Executive in either our Singapore or Kuala Lumpur offices. This newly created role offers compliance professionals from the financial services sector the opportunity to work in a fast-growing fintech environment with cross-border responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the team in providing compliance advisory to the business, providing guidance on complex KYC cases and documentation requirements.
- Act as a checker, and conduct regular reviews of onboarded files to ensure strict adherence to established regulatory compliance protocols.
- Support the review and approval of marketing materials and external communications to ensure they meet cross-border regulatory transparency and conduct standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, business, and operational teams to provide practical compliance perspectives on new initiatives or product launches.
- Manage the end-to-end handling of client complaints, ensuring high-quality written and spoken communication in both English and Chinese.
What We're Looking For
- 2-3 years of relevant compliance experience in financial services, including exposure to KYC/CDD processes, legal documentation requirements, regulatory compliance, and other compliance matters such as reviewing marketing materials and handling client complaints. Experience in fintech or having done regional work is advantageous.
- Strong bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (both written and spoken) is required to review documents in both languages and to communicate with English- and Chinese-speaking stakeholders across APAC.
- Strong collaboration and cross-department communication skills.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, reasonable degree of independence, and willingness to play a supportive role within a wider team.
