We are currently partnering a leading global asset management firm for an experienced Compliance Business Partner to join its Asia-Pacific business.
This is a first line of defense role, partnering closely with the business to strengthen the firm's compliance culture and ensure regulatory requirements are embedded within day-to-day business activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring regulatory requirements, risk management practices and governance standards are effectively embedded across APAC.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary compliance partner to senior business leaders across APAC.
- Provide practical and commercially focused guidance on regulatory requirements and business conduct matters.
- Lead and coordinate first-line compliance and risk management activities.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify, assess and mitigate compliance and operational risks.
- Drive risk governance activities, including risk assessments, issue management and remediation programmes.
- Oversee incident management processes and ensure timely escalation, reporting and resolution of key issues.
- Develop, maintain and enhance policies, procedures and governance frameworks aligned with regulatory expectations.
- Assess the impact of evolving regulations and support the implementation of regulatory change initiatives.
- Deliver training and awareness programmes to strengthen risk and compliance culture across the business.
Requirements
- Degree-qualified with significant experience in Compliance, Risk, Controls, Governance or Regulatory Advisory within financial services.
- Strong understanding of APAC regulatory environments and cross-border business activities.
- Experience operating within a First Line of Defence, Business Risk & Controls or Compliance Business Partnering function.
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across different functions and jurisdictions.
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
