Job Summary:
The Company Accountant is responsible for managing the financial operations of the organization, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and compliance. The role ensures accuracy in financial documents, timely reporting, and supports management in financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Manage bank reconciliations and cash flow statements.
Prepare and process payroll, employee claims, and statutory contributions.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
Generate financial reports to support management decisions.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Manage tax filing, GST reporting, and audit requirements.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities, vendors, and financial institutions.
Update and maintain accounting software and financial systems.
Monitor financial transactions to prevent fraud and errors.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience in accounting or similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, MYOB).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
