Job Description

A Company Accountant in a construction firm

manages project financials, focusing on and for specific projects, handling things like progress claims, subcontractor payments, and tax compliance (like GST), bridging traditional accounting with the unique demands of construction, ensuring projects are profitable and compliant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Costing: Tracking expenses, managing variation orders, and overseeing subcontractor payments.
  • Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly/annual statements, management reports, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Developing project budgets and analyzing cost variances.
  • Compliance: Handling GST, tax returns, and ensuring adherence to financial regulations (IRAS in Singapore).
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Managing invoices, purchase orders, and vendor/supplier relations.
  • Collaboration: Working with project managers and other departments for financial insights.
  • Audits: Assisting with internal and external audits.


Bacheleor Degree in Computer Science or Accountancy
Proven work experience as a Accountant

Strong leadership and managerial skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Typical Duties

  • Reconcile bank statements.
  • Process payroll and expenses.

  • Liaise with banks, suppliers, and tax authorities.
