Ocean Purpose Project is a Singaporean Social Enterprise leading community beach clean-ups, viral sustainability & blue carbon marketing, plastic to hydrogen and seaweed bioremediation. We are Blue Economy advocates and proud champions of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.

As a Community Partnership & Relations, you are the heart of OPP. The nurturer who will be responsible for the growth, business development, and building an ocean community for Ocean Purpose Project in Singapore and potentially other regions, where needed by the business.

The role requires a highly results oriented individual who cares about the oceans and building dynamic relationships to ensure Ocean Purpose Project's solutions come to fruition. You must possess a strong sense of purpose, excellent independent work attitude, deliver impeccable work to tight deadlines and showcase how well you can secure partnerships and generate revenue. You will be largely working remotely or from our beach offices and be comfortable participating in clean ups, standing knee deep in the muddy mangroves alongside the C-suite to power networking at conferences amidst industry partners and the movers and shakers of ocean conservation.

Job function

Natural community networker and stakeholder whisperer

Working closely with C-suite to promote and seek funding for OPP Projects and assist implementation design, site selection, feasibility assessment, project design, implementation and certification.

Develop funding pipelines from multiple monetisation strategies and implement a diverse portfolio of on-the-ground projects.

Tech guru and able to absorb latest news on ocean plastic polluters, news about ocean pollution and conservation and translate that into actionable partnerships and community growth strategies

KPI obsessed with a deep passion for improving ocean ecosystems and poor coastal communities

Dot Connector, Create a rate card and suite of services for monetisation strategy

Leading development and dissemination of priority communications online and offline for Singapore and Asia-Pacific programs.

Able to see beyond sales, business development and leads generation and focus on relationship management to achieve commission.

Requirements

Start Up and/or Volunteering experience will be prioritised over other candidates

At least 3 years Partnerships or Community Building experience

Diploma, Degree or Course in coastal, marine, environmental science or related sustainability courses are preferred but not essential

Genuinely care for the work Ocean Purpose Project is doing and understand why we are different

Time management guru with proven ability to work well independently and coordinate with global teams remotely.

Knowledge of conservation and environmental priorities, approaches and strategies.

Be a problem solver able to identify client's needs, be responsive, think on the spot and make important decisions on the fly.

Articulate and driven salesperson to drive business for the company

Persons who are caregivers, single parents, persons with disabilities are highly recommended for this role.
